Industry sponsor. The main purpose of the thesis was to develop quality standards for the end-products derived from the vermicomposting process and explore the mechanisms and costs required to attain these standards. The three main objectives being:
Summarise existing national and international standards and guidelines
Evaluate treatment of two different waste materials, biosolids and food waste
Recommendations for national vermicomposting end-product standards.
